43. Az-Zukhruf

وَإِنَّهُۥAnd indeed, itلَعِلْمٌsurely (is) a knowledgeلِّلسَّاعَةِof the HourفَلَاSo (do) notتَمْتَرُنَّ(be) doubtfulبِهَاabout itوَٱتَّبِعُونِand follow MeهَٰذَاThisصِرَٰطٌ(is the) PathمُّسْتَقِيمٌStraight﴿٦١﴾

And indeed, Jesus will be [a sign for] knowledge of the Hour, so be not in doubt of it, and follow Me. This is a straight path

وَلَاAnd (let) notيَصُدَّنَّكُمُavert youٱلشَّيْطَٰنُthe ShaitaanإِنَّهُۥIndeed, heلَكُمْ(is) for youعَدُوٌّan enemyمُّبِينٌclear﴿٦٢﴾

And never let Satan avert you. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy

وَلَمَّاAnd whenجَآءَcameعِيسَىٰIsaبِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِwith clear proofsقَالَhe saidقَدْVerilyجِئْتُكُمI have come to youبِٱلْحِكْمَةِwith wisdomوَلِأُبَيِّنَand that I make clearلَكُمto youبَعْضَsomeٱلَّذِى(of) that whichتَخْتَلِفُونَyou differفِيهِin itفَٱتَّقُوا۟So fearٱللَّهَAllahوَأَطِيعُونِand obey me﴿٦٣﴾

And when Jesus brought clear proofs, he said, "I have come to you with wisdom and to make clear to you some of that over which you differ, so fear Allah and obey me

إِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahهُوَHeرَبِّى(is) my Lordوَرَبُّكُمْand your Lordفَٱعْبُدُوهُso worship HimهَٰذَاThisصِرَٰطٌ(is) a PathمُّسْتَقِيمٌStraight﴿٦٤﴾

Indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. This is a straight path

فَٱخْتَلَفَBut differedٱلْأَحْزَابُthe factionsمِنۢfromبَيْنِهِمْamong themفَوَيْلٌso woeلِّلَّذِينَto those whoظَلَمُوا۟wrongedمِنْfromعَذَابِ(the) punishmentيَوْمٍ(of the) Dayأَلِيمٍpainful﴿٦٥﴾

But the denominations from among them differed [and separated], so woe to those who have wronged from the punishment of a painful Day

هَلْAreيَنظُرُونَthey waitingإِلَّاexceptٱلسَّاعَةَ(for) the Hourأَنthatتَأْتِيَهُمit should come on themبَغْتَةًsuddenlyوَهُمْwhile theyلَا(do) notيَشْعُرُونَperceive﴿٦٦﴾

Are they waiting except for the Hour to come upon them suddenly while they perceive not

ٱلْأَخِلَّآءُFriendsيَوْمَئِذٍۭthat Dayبَعْضُهُمْsome of themلِبَعْضٍto othersعَدُوٌّ(will be) enemiesإِلَّاexceptٱلْمُتَّقِينَthe righteous﴿٦٧﴾

Close friends, that Day, will be enemies to each other, except for the righteous

يَٰعِبَادِO My slavesلَاNoخَوْفٌfearعَلَيْكُمُon youٱلْيَوْمَthis Dayوَلَآand notأَنتُمْyouتَحْزَنُونَwill grieve﴿٦٨﴾

[To whom Allah will say], "O My servants, no fear will there be concerning you this Day, nor will you grieve

ٱلَّذِينَThose whoءَامَنُوا۟believedبِـَٔايَٰتِنَاin Our Versesوَكَانُوا۟and wereمُسْلِمِينَsubmissive﴿٦٩﴾

[You] who believed in Our verses and were Muslims

ٱدْخُلُوا۟EnterٱلْجَنَّةَParadiseأَنتُمْyouوَأَزْوَٰجُكُمْand your spousesتُحْبَرُونَdelighted﴿٧٠﴾

Enter Paradise, you and your kinds, delighted

يُطَافُWill be circulatedعَلَيْهِمfor themبِصِحَافٍplatesمِّنofذَهَبٍgoldوَأَكْوَابٍand cupsوَفِيهَاAnd thereinمَا(is) whatتَشْتَهِيهِdesiresٱلْأَنفُسُthe soulsوَتَلَذُّand delightsٱلْأَعْيُنُthe eyesوَأَنتُمْand youفِيهَاthereinخَٰلِدُونَwill abide forever﴿٧١﴾

Circulated among them will be plates and vessels of gold. And therein is whatever the souls desire and [what] delights the eyes, and you will abide therein eternally

وَتِلْكَAnd thisٱلْجَنَّةُ(is) the Paradiseٱلَّتِىٓwhichأُورِثْتُمُوهَاyou are made to inheritبِمَاfor whatكُنتُمْyou used toتَعْمَلُونَdo﴿٧٢﴾

And that is Paradise which you are made to inherit for what you used to do

لَكُمْFor youفِيهَاthereinفَٰكِهَةٌ(are) fruitsكَثِيرَةٌabundantمِّنْهَاfrom itتَأْكُلُونَyou will eat﴿٧٣﴾

For you therein is much fruit from which you will eat

إِنَّIndeedٱلْمُجْرِمِينَthe criminalsفِى(will be) inعَذَابِ(the) punishmentجَهَنَّمَ(of) Hellخَٰلِدُونَabiding forever﴿٧٤﴾

Indeed, the criminals will be in the punishment of Hell, abiding eternally

لَاNotيُفَتَّرُwill it subsideعَنْهُمْfor themوَهُمْand theyفِيهِin itمُبْلِسُونَ(will) despair﴿٧٥﴾

It will not be allowed to subside for them, and they, therein, are in despair

وَمَاAnd notظَلَمْنَٰهُمْWe wronged themوَلَٰكِنbutكَانُوا۟they wereهُمُthemselvesٱلظَّٰلِمِينَwrongdoers﴿٧٦﴾

And We did not wrong them, but it was they who were the wrongdoers

وَنَادَوْا۟And they will callيَٰمَٰلِكُO MalikلِيَقْضِLet put an endعَلَيْنَاto usرَبُّكَyour LordقَالَHe (will) sayإِنَّكُمIndeed, youمَّٰكِثُونَ(will) remain﴿٧٧﴾

And they will call, "O Malik, let your Lord put an end to us!" He will say, "Indeed, you will remain

لَقَدْCertainlyجِئْنَٰكُمWe have brought youبِٱلْحَقِّthe truthوَلَٰكِنَّbutأَكْثَرَكُمْmost of youلِلْحَقِّto the truthكَٰرِهُونَ(are) averse﴿٧٨﴾

We had certainly brought you the truth, but most of you, to the truth, were averse

أَمْOrأَبْرَمُوٓا۟have they determinedأَمْرًاan affairفَإِنَّاThen indeed, Weمُبْرِمُونَ(are) determined﴿٧٩﴾

Or have they devised [some] affair? But indeed, We are devising [a plan]

أَمْOrيَحْسَبُونَ(do) they thinkأَنَّاthat Weلَا(can) notنَسْمَعُhearسِرَّهُمْtheir secret(s)وَنَجْوَىٰهُمand their private counsel(s)بَلَىٰNayوَرُسُلُنَاand Our Messengersلَدَيْهِمْwith themيَكْتُبُونَare recording﴿٨٠﴾

Or do they think that We hear not their secrets and their private conversations? Yes, [We do], and Our messengers are with them recording
