97. Al-Qadr

إِنَّآIndeed, Weأَنزَلْنَٰهُrevealed itفِىinلَيْلَةِ(the) Nightٱلْقَدْرِ(of) Power﴿١﴾

Indeed, We sent the Qur'an down during the Night of Decree

وَمَآAnd whatأَدْرَىٰكَcan make you knowمَاwhatلَيْلَةُ(the) Nightٱلْقَدْرِ(of) Power (is)﴿٢﴾

And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree

لَيْلَةُ(The) Nightٱلْقَدْرِ(of) Powerخَيْرٌ(is) betterمِّنْthanأَلْفِa thousandشَهْرٍmonth(s)﴿٣﴾

The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months

تَنَزَّلُDescendٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُthe Angelsوَٱلرُّوحُand the Spiritفِيهَاthereinبِإِذْنِby (the) permissionرَبِّهِم(of) their Lordمِّنforكُلِّeveryأَمْرٍaffair﴿٤﴾

The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter

سَلَٰمٌPeaceهِىَit (is)حَتَّىٰuntilمَطْلَعِ(the) emergenceٱلْفَجْرِ(of) the dawn﴿٥﴾

Peace it is until the emergence of dawn
