84. Al-Inshiqaq

وَإِذَاAnd whenقُرِئَis recitedعَلَيْهِمُto themٱلْقُرْءَانُthe Quranلَاnotيَسْجُدُونَthey prostrate﴿٢١﴾

And when the Qur'an is recited to them, they do not prostrate [to Allah]

بَلِNayٱلَّذِينَThose whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelievedيُكَذِّبُونَdeny﴿٢٢﴾

But those who have disbelieved deny

وَٱللَّهُAnd Allahأَعْلَمُ(is) most knowingبِمَاof whatيُوعُونَthey keep within themselves﴿٢٣﴾

And Allah is most knowing of what they keep within themselves

فَبَشِّرْهُمso give them tidingsبِعَذَابٍof a punishmentأَلِيمٍpainful﴿٢٤﴾

So give them tidings of a painful punishment

إِلَّاExceptٱلَّذِينَthose whoءَامَنُوا۟believeوَعَمِلُوا۟and doٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِrighteous deedsلَهُمْFor themأَجْرٌ(is) a rewardغَيْرُneverمَمْنُونٍۭending﴿٢٥﴾

Except for those who believe and do righteous deeds. For them is a reward uninterrupted
