81. At-Takwir

مُّطَاعٍOne to be obeyedثَمَّandأَمِينٍtrustworthy﴿٢١﴾

Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy

وَمَاAnd notصَاحِبُكُم(is) your companionبِمَجْنُونٍmad﴿٢٢﴾

And your companion is not [at all] mad

وَلَقَدْAnd certainlyرَءَاهُhe saw himبِٱلْأُفُقِin the horizonٱلْمُبِينِthe clear﴿٢٣﴾

And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon

وَمَاAnd notهُوَhe (is)عَلَىonٱلْغَيْبِthe unseenبِضَنِينٍa withholder﴿٢٤﴾

And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen

وَمَاAnd notهُوَitبِقَوْلِ(is the) wordشَيْطَٰنٍ(of) Shaitaanرَّجِيمٍaccursed﴿٢٥﴾

And the Qur'an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens]

فَأَيْنَSo whereتَذْهَبُونَare you going﴿٢٦﴾

So where are you going

إِنْNotهُوَitإِلَّا(is) exceptذِكْرٌa reminderلِّلْعَٰلَمِينَto the worlds﴿٢٧﴾

It is not except a reminder to the worlds

لِمَنFor whoeverشَآءَwillsمِنكُمْamong youأَنtoيَسْتَقِيمَtake a straight way﴿٢٨﴾

For whoever wills among you to take a right course

وَمَاAnd notتَشَآءُونَyou willإِلَّآexceptأَنthatيَشَآءَwillsٱللَّهُAllahرَبُّLordٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ(of) the worlds﴿٢٩﴾

And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds
