51. Adh-Dhariyat

وَٱلذَّٰرِيَٰتِBy those scatteringذَرْوًاdispersing﴿١﴾

By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing

فَٱلْحَٰمِلَٰتِAnd those carryingوِقْرًاa load﴿٢﴾

And those [clouds] carrying a load [of water]

فَٱلْجَٰرِيَٰتِAnd those sailingيُسْرًا(with) ease﴿٣﴾

And those [ships] sailing with ease

فَٱلْمُقَسِّمَٰتِAnd those distributingأَمْرًاCommand﴿٤﴾

And those [angels] apportioning [each] matter

إِنَّمَاIndeed, whatتُوعَدُونَyou are promisedلَصَادِقٌ(is) surely true﴿٥﴾

Indeed, what you are promised is true

وَإِنَّAnd indeedٱلدِّينَthe Judgmentلَوَٰقِعٌ(is) surely to occur﴿٦﴾

And indeed, the recompense is to occur

وَٱلسَّمَآءِBy the heavenذَاتِfull ofٱلْحُبُكِpathways﴿٧﴾

By the heaven containing pathways

إِنَّكُمْIndeed, youلَفِى(are) surely inقَوْلٍa speechمُّخْتَلِفٍdiffering﴿٨﴾

Indeed, you are in differing speech

يُؤْفَكُDeluded awayعَنْهُfrom itمَنْ(is he) whoأُفِكَis deluded﴿٩﴾

Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded

قُتِلَCursed beٱلْخَرَّٰصُونَthe liars﴿١٠﴾

Destroyed are the falsifiers

ٱلَّذِينَThose whoهُمْ[they]فِى(are) inغَمْرَةٍfloodسَاهُونَ(of) heedlessness﴿١١﴾

Who are within a flood [of confusion] and heedless

يَسْـَٔلُونَThey askأَيَّانَWhenيَوْمُ(is the) Dayٱلدِّينِ(of) Judgment﴿١٢﴾

They ask, "When is the Day of Recompense

يَوْمَA Dayهُمْtheyعَلَىoverٱلنَّارِthe Fireيُفْتَنُونَwill be tried﴿١٣﴾

[It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire

ذُوقُوا۟Tasteفِتْنَتَكُمْyour trialهَٰذَاThisٱلَّذِى(is) whatكُنتُمyou wereبِهِۦfor itتَسْتَعْجِلُونَseeking to hasten﴿١٤﴾

[And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient

إِنَّIndeedٱلْمُتَّقِينَthe righteousفِى(will be) inجَنَّٰتٍGardensوَعُيُونٍand springs﴿١٥﴾

Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs

ءَاخِذِينَTakingمَآwhatءَاتَىٰهُمْtheir Lord has given themرَبُّهُمْtheir Lord has given themإِنَّهُمْIndeed, theyكَانُوا۟wereقَبْلَbeforeذَٰلِكَthatمُحْسِنِينَgood-doers﴿١٦﴾

Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good

كَانُوا۟They used toقَلِيلًاlittleمِّنَofٱلَّيْلِthe nightمَا[what]يَهْجَعُونَsleep﴿١٧﴾

They used to sleep but little of the night

وَبِٱلْأَسْحَارِAnd in the hours before dawnهُمْtheyيَسْتَغْفِرُونَwould ask forgiveness﴿١٨﴾

And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness

وَفِىٓAnd inأَمْوَٰلِهِمْtheir wealthحَقٌّ(was the) rightلِّلسَّآئِلِ(of) those who askedوَٱلْمَحْرُومِand the deprived﴿١٩﴾

And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived

وَفِىAnd inٱلْأَرْضِthe earthءَايَٰتٌ(are) signsلِّلْمُوقِنِينَfor those who are certain﴿٢٠﴾

And on the earth are signs for the certain [in faith]
