100. Al-'Adiyat

وَٱلْعَٰدِيَٰتِBy the racersضَبْحًاpanting﴿١﴾

By the racers, panting

فَٱلْمُورِيَٰتِAnd the producers of sparksقَدْحًاstriking﴿٢﴾

And the producers of sparks [when] striking

فَٱلْمُغِيرَٰتِAnd the chargersصُبْحًا(at) dawn﴿٣﴾

And the chargers at dawn

فَأَثَرْنَThen raiseبِهِۦtherebyنَقْعًاdust﴿٤﴾

Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust

فَوَسَطْنَThen penetrate (in the) centerبِهِۦtherebyجَمْعًاcollectively﴿٥﴾

Arriving thereby in the center collectively

إِنَّIndeedٱلْإِنسَٰنَmankindلِرَبِّهِۦto his Lordلَكَنُودٌ(is) surely ungrateful﴿٦﴾

Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful

وَإِنَّهُۥAnd indeed, heعَلَىٰonذَٰلِكَthatلَشَهِيدٌsurely (is) a witness﴿٧﴾

And indeed, he is to that a witness

وَإِنَّهُۥAnd indeed heلِحُبِّin (the) loveٱلْخَيْرِ(of) wealthلَشَدِيدٌ(is) surely intense﴿٨﴾

And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense

أَفَلَاBut does notيَعْلَمُhe knowإِذَاwhenبُعْثِرَwill be scatteredمَاwhatفِى(is) inٱلْقُبُورِthe graves﴿٩﴾

But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered

وَحُصِّلَAnd is made apparentمَاwhatفِى(is) inٱلصُّدُورِthe breasts﴿١٠﴾

And that within the breasts is obtained

إِنَّIndeedرَبَّهُمtheir Lordبِهِمْabout themيَوْمَئِذٍthat Dayلَّخَبِيرٌۢ(is) surely All-Aware﴿١١﴾

Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Acquainted
